Jay-Z apparently isn't ready to forgive and forget when it comes to fellow NYC heavyweight Robert De Niro.
Last November, during Leonardo DiCaprio's 38th birthday bash at the Darby in Manhattan, the two reportedly got into an argument over a song Jay-Z had agreed to record for De Niro's Tribeca Film Festival, but didn't deliver. According to a source for The Daily Standard (via Vanity Fair), "Jay-Z went over to say hello, [and] De Niro told Jay that he never called him back."
Fast-forward eight months, and Jay-Z still hasn't dialed De Niro, with the rapper admitting as much during an interview with New York-based radio station Power 105.1.
"No, I haven't [called]," he said. "I treat people based on who they are, who they really are, not the name, not 'Robert De Niro,' but who you really are as a person. It doesn't matter who you are; everyone has to be respectful."
We like to think that somewhere, presumably while looking at himself in a mirror, De Niro snapped, "You talkin' to me?"
