The Presidency on Wednesday explained that the Minister of Youth Development, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, was sacked ``because of the wrongful way he managed the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s (NYCN) election.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, made the explanation in a statement issued in Abuja.
According to the statement, media speculations on the termination of the minister’s appointment were false.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that President Goodluck Jonathan relieved Abdulkadir of his appointment on Aug. 26 through a statement from Office of Secretary to Government of the Federation.
"Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, was sacked ``because of the wrongful way he managed the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s (NYCN) election".
