The cameras are already rolling on Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past," but we're still learning tidbits about the upcoming sequel.
The latest addition to the sprawling "X-Men" cast is Aussie actor Josh Helman, who can be seen in Tom Cruise's "Jack Reacher" and the upcoming "Mad Max" sequel. Helman also appeared in HBO's "The Pacific" and the Australian crime drama "Animal Kingdom."
We don't have any details yet on who Helman will be playing in the film franchise (honestly, what characters are left for him to play?), but according to The Wrap, he's "expected on set for several weeks." In the past, Bryan Singer has broken the stories himself via Twitter, so perhaps we'll learn more by keeping an eye on the director's feed.
Helman's latest roles include "Blinder," a soccer drama that's out in Australia, and "Mad Max: Fury Road," which has been in limbo for quite some time. There are photos from the set of "Fury Road" from last summer, so at least we know they have been filming it. It's supposed to come out in 2014, but the odds of seeing "X-Men: Days of Future Past" first are pretty good.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is set to open Memorial Day weekend next year.
